Topics that we will cover in class include - Nutritional Composition of Human Milk - Basics of a Good Latch - Hunger Cues - Pumping - Inducing Lactation - Bonding for the non-gestational and/or non-lactating parent(s) - Milk Expression - Local safe healthcare providers for followup/further resources - And More!
Partners, surrogates, and support people are welcome and encouraged to attend.
The class will be taught by Dr. Aliena (Ali) Davis (she/her/hers), a community lactation educator and prenatal/postpartum/pediatric chiropractor.
Licensed Midwife Jen Marlow with Magnolia Birth will be teaching Belly Mapping at the end of the class for those who wish to learn this skill!
